The three schools Nowitzki visited before ultimately going straight to the L were Kentucky, Cal and Stanford: “[Dirk] said that he didn’t go to America to play high school ball because he didn’t want to be converted to a traditional back-to-the-basket player. Nowitzki said that he visited Kentucky, Stanford and Cal. But he went straight to the NBA.”
