Dirk Nowitzki Considered Playing College Basketball

Dirk went on the Dan Patrick Show today, saying more than 30 US colleges offered him scholarships. The three schools Nowitzki visited before ultimately going straight to the L were Kentucky, Cal and Stanford: “[Dirk] said that he didn’t go to America to play high school ball because he didn’t want to be converted to a traditional back-to-the-basket player. Nowitzki said that he visited Kentucky, Stanford and Cal. But he went straight to the NBA.”
