Get all upset if you want, Chicago Bulls fans, but Derrick Rose won’t change his newfound approach.
Rose isn’t backing down from taking the long-view when it comes to his basketball career and life thereafter, even if it ruffles some feathers.
D-Rose will simply continue listening to his body, and not worry about what anyone else thinks.
Per the Chicago Tribune:
“As long as I’m being myself, that’s the only person I can be,” Rose said Thursday morning before the Chicago Bulls’ morning shootaround at Air Canada Centre. “As far as saying anything, probably blame me for thinking about the future I’ll probably think different but that’s all I was doing.”
Asked if he understood why some people would get upset at such comments, Rose said no — twice. […] “No, no, but I could care less,” he said.
Rose’s coaches and teammates strongly defended Rose’s commitment to winning and the team in the wake of his comments, which were made in Chicago on Tuesday. That his commitment would be called into question did bother Rose. […] “Yeah, to a certain degree,” he said. “Of course it’s going to happen. But at the same time, I can’t do anything about it. I just gotta let God handle that and just put every performance and every article behind me every day.”
