DeMarcus Cousins Doesn’t Expect To Be Traded This Season

DeMarcus Cousins has been at the center to trade rumors for multiple seasons now and the rumors picked up steam once again at the top of the 2016-’17 season when an anonymous Western Conference GM said that he thought DMC would be moved by the trade deadline. Kings owner Vivek Ranadive came out soon after the rumors picked up and reportedly said that he does not want to move the big man.

With the February trade deadline looming, trade rumors around Boogie are only going to intensify. After the Kings game against Dallas last Wednesday, ESPN’s Marc Stein asked Cousins about being traded and said that he’s “on the same page” as management and “not worried about it.”

From ESPN:

“Unless you know something I don’t,” Cousins said with a chuckle earlier this week during a brief postgame visit in Dallas with ESPN.com.

“I talk to management a lot,” Cousins told ESPN.com. “We’re on the same page. I’m not worried about it.”

Cousins also said that he’s “happy” and “in a great place:”

“To know that you’re wanted throughout the league … I’d be worried if nobody wanted me. Then I’d have a situation on my hands. But I’m happy where I am. I’m happy with this team. I’m in a great place.”
