The Boston Celtics will shore up their backcourt with an established NBA veteran. Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe reports that Jeff Teague has agreed to a one-year deal with the franchise.
Teague spent last year split between Minnesota and Atlanta, finishing off the last of a three-year, $57 million deal signed in 2017 but saw his role decrease significantly with the rebuilding Hawks.
The 2015 NBA All-Star is still just 32 years old, with nearly 600 starts under his belt and a career line of 12.6 points and 5.8 assists per game.
Teague will slot into Boston’s backcourt behind incumbent starter Kemba Walker.
