Carmelo Anthony will accept a five-year contract worth over $120 million from the New York Knicks, according to the Yahoo. Anthony is expected to make the announcement public on Saturday. The NY Daily News first reported the story.
In the weeks leading up to his decision, Anthony reportedly narrowed his options to the Bulls, Lakers and Knicks. But the Lakers conceded their chances by signing Jeremy Lin, Nick Young and Jordan Hill on Friday, and Bulls officially pulled out of the running while pursing a deal with Pau Gasol.
In the end, Anthony decided to re-up with the team he grew up cheering for.
