The Portland Trail Blazers are the first NBA team to have multiple players voluntarily opt out of the Disney World restart later this month. Lindsey Wisniewski of NBC Sports that Caleb Swanigan will sit out for personal reasons.
Prior to Swanigan, Trevor Ariza revealed that he, too, would forego the return to action. Both players arrived in Portland in a January trade. Swanigan will be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
In 20 games of action for the Trail Blazers, Swanigan averaged 3.0 points in 13.3 minutes. Portland will have until mid-August to sign a substitute player to fill his spot.
The Blazers signed Jaylen Adams to replace Ariza earlier this week.
