The Milwaukee Bucks recently became NBA Champions, knocking off the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals. While they deserve to celebrate, they’ll need to also get back to work soon if they’re going to repeat in the 2021-22 season.
While they’re already going to struggle to retain Bobby Portis, who’s set to earn a huge payday this summer, it appears they may have another key player hitting the free agent market.
As first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Bucks guard Bryn Forbes is declining his player option and becoming a free agent.
Forbes was a huge piece of Milwaukee’s roster last season. He was fourth in the entire NBA in 3-point shooting, spacing the floor for their superstars.
Forbes thrived in February in the absence of an injured Jrue Holiday, averaging 12.2 points per game over that span.
On the season overall, Forbes averaged 10.0 points per game while shooting 45.2 percent from beyond the arc.
