Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal has not been the happiest camper with the recent losses he and his team have taken this season. According to Jasmyn Wimbish of CBS Sports, Beal did not hesitate to express his disappointment after the latest setback, a 22-point blowout against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday:
“We’ve gotta have some pride, man, some dog,” Beal said, per CBS Sports. “We’ve got no dog. We just kind of let teams just walk all over us and that s— is frustrating.
“It’s tough because we’re all adults. I can’t do it for guys. I can only do it for myself. All we can do is encourage the next man to be ready to go and accept the challenge. I can’t do that for someone else. I can’t do your guys’ job and you can’t do my job. You know what I’m saying?”
Beal has attempted to pull his weight on the Wizards roster this season leading the league in scoring with 33.2 points and dropping a game-high 31 points in Sunday’s contest, but it seems as if there is a missing piece to the puzzle considering the Wizards are ranked second-to-last in the Eastern Conference.
Although things have not been looking up for the Wizards the past few seasons – and despite the recent John Wall trade – Beal has made it clear that he does not plan on being traded anytime soon.
