A pair of key rotation players, Bam Adebayo and Kendrick Nunn, have returned to action for the Miami Heat after passing through necessary COVID-19 quarantine protocols, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
It was previously known that three Heat players had tested positive for COVID-19, only one of which, Derrick Jones Jr., was confirmed.
Adebayo and Nunn arrived at the Walt Disney World campus earlier in the week and after testing negative twice more than 24 hours apart, were able to join the team in a formal practice.
Adebayo told reporters that he was asymptomatic and bored while recovering from the virus while Nunn experienced symptoms in line with a common cold.
Adebayo and Nunn are permitted to play with the team during their Saturday exhibition, although they may not necessarily suit up so soon after returning to action.
Miami shut down their practice facility in early July, prior to arriving in the bubble, when the three positive cases were detected.
