When talking about players who defined the ’90s and ’00s, Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson are on every damn list. If we’re being really honest, they may be the two most influential and impactful NBA athletes from those two decades.
Jordan ruled in the ’80s and ’90s, winning six Championships from 1991-1998. Iverson’s Hall of Fame career began at the tail end of MJ’s reign, and his fame really took off when he used His Airness as a prop for his most famous crossover.
They were perhaps the two most dominant players, pound-for-pound, in league history, and their notoriety extended well beyond the game.
They were the subjects of several iconic SLAM covers, and now, they grace the cover of SLAM 200.
