Stephen Curry is one of the most talented players in the NBA today, so it’s easy to forget that he wasn’t highly recruited coming out of high school, nor was there much belief that he’d be a superstar at the pro level, either. Look at him now—even has his own signature shoe. So to commemorate that journey, Under Armour is dropping the “Underdog” colorway of his Curry One sneaker. Here’s Steph talking about the inspiration behind the new edition of his kicks:
The UA Curry One “Underdog,” featuring Metallic Silver with Steel Red accents, releases on April 3 for $120 at UA.com and other retailers. In fact, the word “Underdog” appears on the inside of the shoe’s tongue.
