Yesterday marked the 33rd anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a national holiday, which has become a big part of NBA culture. From the League scheduling big-time games to players wearing exclusive PEs and now special socks (shoutout to our friends at Stance), MLK Day is now an NBA staple.
The significance of the day isn’t lost on the players who universally understand how important the man was to all of our lives.
Check out the gallery above to see what Jordan Brand players had to say about the honor of playing ball on such a historic day.
