The adidas Take on Summer Tour has finally come to an end, with Damian Lillard making his final stop in Paris earlier this week. The Portland Trail Blazer, who is nearing an agreement on a five-year contract extension worth more than $120 million, also graced Tokyo, Shanghai and Guangzhou with his presence.
To welcome the All-NBA point guard to the city of Paris, adidas created the inaugural Damian Lillard Paris Academy—a two-day camp for French basketball players and fans. Lillard also got the chance to re-unite with ex-Trailblazer Nicolas Batum, who helped him coach a game between the top players in the academy. In case you forgot amidst the free-agency frenzy, Batum was traded to the Charlotte Hornets just over a week ago.
In addition, Lillard celebrated the launch of his exclusive new sneaker, the D Lillard 1 Take on Summer edition.
Overall, the tour granted fans the opportunity to hang out and interact with one of the NBA’s top stars. Make sure to stay tuned to adidas hoops on Twitter and Instagram, as more exclusive content continues to roll out.
