Nike’s most famous sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield, is responsible for a few of the world’s most influential silhouettes. The Air Jordan III and XI, the Nike Huarache, and the Nike Air Mag all came from his head.
Tinker, like Nike founder Phil Knight, went to school at the University of Oregon. Hatfield starred as a track and field athlete. His time as a Duck has never quite ended. He, Nike and the school have had an ongoing relationship for years.
In the gallery above, Hatfield takes us through the history between Jordan Brand and the University of Oregon. For more info on the individual sneakers, hit up the SNKRS app.
