In an effort to clean the world’s oceans, adidas has teamed up with Parley for the Oceans for a brand new running sneaker.
Parley for the Oceans describes themselves as the “space where creators, thinkers and leaders come together to raise awareness for the beauty and fragility of our oceans and collaborate on projects that can end their destruction.”
The UltraBOOST Uncaged “Parley” is made up of recycled plastic that would’ve otherwise ended up being thrown into the ocean. The laces, heel cap base material, heel webbing, heel lining and the sock-liner cover are made of recycled materials. Its design takes inspiration from the waves of the ocean.
There will only be 7,000 pairs made worldwide, releasing sometime in November. There’s no official word on release date. To get the info first, sign up at adidas.com/parley.
