Skal Labissiere has been in the news a lot as of late. Mainly due to reports that claim a member of his inner circle has been allegedly making monetary requests that would jeopardize his NCAA eligibility. Nonetheless, the 6-10 center has been one of the most sought out seniors by all of the major collegiate programs and on Thursday night he made it known that it was Kentucky where he’ll be hooping next fall.
Live on ESPNU, he explained:
“Since my freshman year I always wanted to go there. I watched Coach Cal on TV. I watched his teams with Anthony Davis and Nerlens Noel. That’s one of the reasons I worked so hard — my academics and on the court — because I wanted to have the chance to play there. My freshman year I was really hoping that Coach Cal was going to offer and my sophomore year, first game of the year, he came and watched me and offered me. And that’s when it all started.”
