Following his arrest last weekend, Seton Hall commit Aquille Carr (2013) will not compete in this weekend’s Under Armour Elite 24 showcase in Venice Beach, California. Carr was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment after getting into a physical altercation with his former girlfriend, Treshonda Williams. Via the Baltimore Sun: “The Under Armour Elite 24, set for Friday and Saturday, includes an all-star game and slam dunk contest featuring some of the country’s top high school talent, with both events being aired on ESPNU. Gracie Blackburn, an associate manager for college sports PR at ESPN, confirmed that Carr is no longer a participant. ESPN PR declined further comment. Updated rosters—including Carr’s replacement—will be released tomorrow.”
