For more than a decade, Georgia’s Athletes of Tomorrow Nike EYBL program has developed young basketball players into college-ready athletes.
Now, program founder Omar Cooper has launched a sports agency: LifeStyle Sports Agency.
Among the Cooper-helmed travel squad’s list of success stories are WNBA stars like Diamond DeShields, Dearica Hamby and Lexie Brown and the future looks equally intriguing.
Cooper’s own daughter Tea Cooper was among the women drafted into the W just last week (18th overall to the Phoenix Mercury) and his son, Sharife Cooper, is an Auburn-bound five-star recruit.
“I put everything into making sure my kids were successful at every stage,” Cooper told Sports Illustrated’s Jason Jordan. “It’s the same blueprint we’ll use at LifeStyle. Every player is different, and every path is different, and I’ve always catered development specific to the person. It’s a hands-on process and our culture is built on development on and off the court.”
