The New Orleans Pelicans announced Tuesday that guard Tyreke Evans underwent his second right knee surgery since May.
Evans, 26, got hurt during the opening week of training camp after bumping knees with a teammate.
The team did not provide a timetable for Reke’s return to action.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that guard Tyreke Evans underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee this morning. A timetable for return will be announced at a later date.
Evans, 6-6, 220, appeared in 79 regular season games for New Orleans last season, averaging 16.6 points, 6.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. Evans had appeared in two contests this preseason for the Pelicans, averaging 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
The 6-foot-6 Evans “had a little soreness” in his knee, Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said last week, saying he would have the knee checked out, but that the injury was “not any big thing.” […] Evans has missed the Pelicans’ past two preseason games. He sat out the preseason opener with a right knee contusion, which he and Gentry said was a precautionary move. In two preseason games after, Evans averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 24.1 minutes per game.
