Experiencing Midnight Madness at Kansas was all it took for five-star recruit Wayne Selden to realize he wanted to be a Jayhawk. After visiting the Lawrence, KS campus on Friday for the “Late Night in the Phog” festivities, the 6-5 wing gave the program a verbal commitment. From CBS Sports: “Wayne Selden went to Kansas’ Midnight Madness festivities relatively undecided on his recruitment. He came out of Lawrence and knew he wanted to be a Jayhawk. On Monday morning, the five-star guard from New England committed to Bill Self’s program. “It was the right fit for me as a player and a person … my family knew it was a great place,” Selden told Scout.com. “Kansas was my recent favorite and when I went on the visit it sold to me that his was the place I wanted to be a student.” Selden had been quiet on the recruiting front since reclassifying into 2013, but he also had UCLA, Florida, Ohio State, Syracuse and Missouri on his list.”
