The NBA gave Detroit Pistons head coach and team prez Stan Van Gundy a $25K slap on the wrist Monday night, this after criticizing the officiating during his team’s 106-101 Game 1 road loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy has been fined $25,000 for public criticism of officiating, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.
Van Gundy made his comments in a live television interview during the Pistons’ 106-101 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on April 17 at Quicken Loans Arena.
