Miami Heat forward Shane Battier sprained his right knee on Saturday, and is now expected to miss at least the next two games. Battier doesn’t believe the injury to be too serious. Per the Miami Herald: “He did not practice on Monday and he is expected to sit out practices on Tuesday and Wednesday as well. It’s unclear when he will return but the sprain was minor enough that it did not require an MRI. ‘I think it could have been a lot worse than it actually was,’ Battier said. ‘I’ve sprained my MCL before, so I knew what it felt like. I knew exactly what it was.’ While Heat coach Erik Spoelstra hasn’t ruled Battier out for Thursday’s game against the Spurs, Heat forward LeBron James is already preparing himself for possibly moving to power forward defensively against the Western Conference’s top team. ‘It’s unfortunate we’re not going to have him for the next few games,’ James said. ‘But we have enough guys to step up and come in and make plays.'”
