Following a trade on Friday, Josh Smith is back with the Rockets.
The Clippers sent Smith to Houston with $456,921 cash and the draft rights to 2004 second-round pick Serhiy Lishchuk.
In exchange, Houston sent the draft rights of 2008 second-round pick Maarty Leunen to the Clippers. Both Leunen and Lishchuk aren’t expected to play in the NBA.
Smith was out of the rotation for the Clippers and shooting a career-worst 38.3 percent before the trade.
He played 21 minutes for Houston on Friday, shooting just 1-10 from the field with 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks.

The Houston Rockets have re-acquired Los Angeles Clippers forward Josh Smith, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Clippers had considered waiving Smith, league sources said. The trade allows them to save $2 million in luxury tax.
Several Rockets players were eager for the the team to bring back Smith, league sources told Yahoo.
