Hibbert was upset with Booker for having pushed aside Julius Randle, and Booker evidently did not appreciate the big fella’s own chest bump:
Booker will serve the suspension in the Jazz’s season-opening game against the Detroit Pistons on Oct. 28. [….] Booker spoke with the NBA on Wednesday about the incident, a source said.
Hibbert stormed into Booker’s personal space after Booker fouled a Lakers teammate in Tuesday night’s game and got chest to chest with him. Booker responded with an open-handed swing that grazed Hibbert’s face.
Booker was accessed two technical fouls and ejected.
