More from The Detroit News:
“He’s going to give it a go tonight,” a smiling coach Stan Van Gundy said after Sunday’s shootaround. “We’re going to limit him quite a bit for this first one but we’ll try to give him four or five minutes at the start of each quarter and see how it goes.”
SVG also said that Jackson called him last night and said he was good to go:
“I talked to him on the plane (Friday) night and he said probably not today and more likely Tuesday, after another day of practice,” Van Gundy said. “He called last night and said he wanted to give it a go.”
The Pistons sit at 11-10 after winning three-straight on the road against Charlotte, Boston and Atlanta. Detroit has won five of its last six.
