The LA Clippers are said to be tinkering with the idea of adopting a mascot in 2015-16.
Currently, there are just five teams in the NBA sans mascot representation—the Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors.
The Clips have been busy with re-branding themselves this summer, introducing new uniforms and threatening to move their local broadcasts from television to the Internet.
Per the LA Times:
Clippers are in planning stages of having a team mascot, per source. Team won't have by opening night, but may have one by All-Star break.
