Promising Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson has suffered a partially torn MCL that will keep him out for an unspecified amount of time. Richardson reportedly hurt his knee during a workout on Friday afternoon. The second-year guard is expected to be a key part of the Heat in 2016-17 now that Dwyane Wade has gone to Chicago.
The 40th overall selection at the 2015 draft averaged 6.6. points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He also shot an impressive 46.1 percent from three.
