Kevin Love is coming back to the Cavaliers. And by the sound of things, Tristan Thompson is about to get on board, too.
The Cavs were expected to retain Thompson all along, and he may have made himself some more money with a big-time performance in the NBA Finals—he averaged 10 points and 13 rebounds per game over six games against the Warriors.
As first reported by Marc Stein and Brian Windhorst of ESPN:
ESPN sources tell @WindhorstESPN & I that Cavs and Tristan Thompson are nearing agreement on deal that will pay the RFA in excess of $80 mil
