Top hoopers are invited once again to Red Bull Reign’s third annual 3×3 tourney. There will be six qualifiers in cities across the United States, beginning May 28 in New Orleans and concluding with the finals in Chicago on July 16. See below for more details.
Red Bull Reign is inviting America’s top ballers to put their skills to the test in the third annual 3×3 tournament. With several regional contests taking place throughout the United States this summer, the unique 3×3 basketball tournament will pit hoop hopefuls against one-another in a high-endurance, offensive-driven battle that ends with the finals in Chicago.
The six qualifiers will be held in New Orleans (May 28th), Detroit (June 4th), Philadelphia (June 11th), Cleveland (June 18th), Indianapolis (July 8th) and Chicago (July 9th). The winning team from each location will be invited to battle in the Red Bull Reign Finals at Chicago’s Seward Park on July 16th, 2016!
The rules of the high endurance, offense-driven tournament are simple: the teams that score the most overall points in each round will advance and continue to compete. Red Bull athlete and Chicago’s very own, Anthony Davis, will host the Red Bull Reign Finals and present the Championship trophy at the end of the day.
The Red Bull Reign Finals champions will earn the chance to compete in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final qualifier this September. The FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final qualifier champion will advance to the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final in Abu Dhabi in mid-October.
The qualifying tournaments and Finals competition are open to the public and free of admission. Ballers 18 and older can submit an application for their team of four players to compete. Each qualifier will host 24 teams, registration is based off of a first-come-first-served policy. Once the quota of 24 teams has been reached, teams registering will be placed on a waitlist.
