The Pistons were aiming to sign Al Horford, and even got a meeting with the coveted free agent earlier this week.
But when Horford decided to focus his attention on the Celtics and Wizards, Detroit was quick to make a four-year, $42 million offer to 27-year-old forward Jon Leuer.

Leuer was one of a few Suns bigs to remain healthy last season. And through all the turmoil, Leuer still managed to put together a solid season, averaging career bests 8.5 points, and 5.6 rebounds in 18.7 minutes.
