Veteran free agent point guard Luke Ridnour will join the Orlando Magic. The 33-year old is expected to be a backup for up-and-comers Victor Oladipo and Elfrid Payton. Per the Orlando Sentinel:
Ridnour has played for four NBA franchises. He began the 2013-14 season with the Milwaukee Bucks, but he was dealt at the trade deadline to the Charlotte Bobcats.
Ridnour appeared in 61 games for the Bucks and Bobcats and averaged 5.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 18.7 minutes per game.
Once Ridnour is signed, the Magic will have 14 players under contract, a number that doesn’t include the team’s unsigned second-round draft pick, swingman Devyn Marble.
