The Nuggets already agreed to ship Arron Afflalo to Portland, and aren’t done dealing yet. Reportedly, center JaVale McGee is on his way to Philadelphia. It’s an interesting move for a Sixers team with some promising young big men. From—who else?—Adrian Wojnarowski:
The Denver Nuggets have agreed to send JaVale McGee, along with a first-round pick, to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, a league source told Yahoo Sports.
The Sixers will receive a 2015 protected first-round pick that Denver owned via Oklahoma City.
In Denver’s two deals today, it has created $18 million in player-trade exceptions.
Denver is unloading the balance of $11,250,000 for this season and $12 million for 2015-16 on McGee’s contract.
McGee, in his seventh NBA season, was averaging 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11 minutes per game for Denver.
