Pelicans guard Norris Cole is suffering from a high-ankle sprain, which may keep him out for up to six weeks.
Robinson, 31, split time between the Denver Nuggets and LA Clippers last season.
Per ESPN:
Robinson will land a one-year deal for the veterans minimum, sources say.
He will join Euroleague star Bo McCalebb as recent additions to New Orleans’ backcourt after the loss of Cole and with Jrue Holiday on a minutes restriction.
