As had been rumored, Marquis Daniels is now officially a Buck. Reports the Journal Sentinel: “The Bucks confirmed Tuesday they have come to terms with veteran guard Marquis Daniels to fill the 15th and final spot on the roster. The 31-year-old Daniels worked out with Bucks players last week at the Cousins Center and indicated then he was seeking a contract before NBA camps open next week. […] Daniels signed a one-year deal for the veteran’s mininum salary of $1.2 million, for players with nine years of service in the league. ‘The signing of Marquis gives us another veteran presence on our team,’ said Bucks general manager John Hammond. ‘Marquis has nine years of NBA experience and has been part of winning organizations. He can defend multiple positions and is a reliable offensive player.’ […] In an interview last week, Daniels said he hoped to wind up with the Bucks. ‘It’s a great atmosphere right here,’ Daniels said. ‘Coach (Scott) Skiles is a great coach. The organization is great and has a great tradition. I’m blessed to be playing right now.'”
