Matt Barnes Suspended for Shoving Greg Stiemsma

To the surprise of absolutely no one, the NBA suspended Matt Barnes after he went berserk against Minnesota Timberwolves big man Greg Stiemsma. Barnes will miss tonight’s Clipper game in Toronto. Here’s the press release: “Matt Barnes of the Los Angeles Clippers has been suspended one game without pay for striking Greg Stiemsma of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the neck, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations. The incident occurred with 8:26 remaining in the second quarter of the Clippers’ 96-90 victory over the Timberwolves on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Target Center.”
