The Dwight Howard saga is officially over! Basketball fans everywhere can now exhale, at least for a brief second. We already saw how fellow NBAers reacted to the blockbuster deal, and this morning analysts and pundits everywhere are dissecting the trade from all angles, including how Orlando faired in comparison to other packages the Magic had at their disposal. According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Magic rejected the Brooklyn Nets’ final offer of Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks and four unprotected first-round picks in exchange for Howard, Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon and Earl Clark. Was it smart of Rob Hennigan and Co. to pass on that offer? Hmm, only time will tell.
Final Nets offer Orlando rejected in July: Lopez, Humphries (1 year, $9.6M), Brooks, 4 unprotected No. 1’s for Howard, JRich, Duhon, Clark.
