Responding to one of those silly top-ten lists about the greatest point guards in NBA history, Magic Johnson came to the defense of his longtime friend and rival Isiah Thomas in a stream of tweets Wednesday.
Magic gives props to John Stockton and Stephen Curry—who were both ranked ahead of Thomas—but says there is no way in hell that either guy was (or is) better than Zeke.
Johnson points to Thomas’ legendary competitive drive as what separates him from the pack.
ESPN ranked the Top 10 PGs of all time & they have @iamisiahthomas ranked 5th. There's no way Stockton & Curry are better than Isiah.

Let me remind everyone, young and old, I played against @iamisiahthomas when he was hurt & hobbling on one leg…

…and @iamisiahthomas still scored 25 points in one quarter in the NBA Finals!

I love John Stockton, the NBA's All-Time Assist Leader.

I love @StephenCurry30, the best shooter we've ever seen, but he's not better than Isiah, at least not yet.
