According to Lou Amundson’s rep, Mark Bartlestein, the veteran free agent forward is drawing interest from a number of teams, including the LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers (who continue to make small moves this offseason.) Per the LA Daily News: “Bartlestein said in an interview that his client plans to finalize a deal with a team within the week, though he wouldn’t go into exact specifics what role and terms would best suit Amundson. Amundson had meetings with the Lakers and Clippers and even worked out at the team’s respective facilities in recent weeks, but it remains unclear if he winds up playing in Los Angeles. The Clippers have 14 players under contract, and would likely add one more player to fit the league maximum at training camp, according to a league source familiar with the team’s thought process. But the Clippers remain flexible in adding another player before training camp, the source said. The Lakers have 12 players under contract and need to add another player to their roster before training camp starts on Sept. 27. The Lakers are expected to sign Ryan Kelly, who was drafted 48th overall out of Duke. But Kelly is currently rehabbing from foot surgery in April and it’s unclear when he’ll be fully healthy. The Lakers have also invited Marcus Landry to training camp after after leading the team’s summer league in scoring.”
