Larry Nance Jr. Suffers ‘Probable’ Hand Fracture

Los Angeles Lakers second-year forward Larry Nance Jr. suffered a “probable fracture” of his right hand Thursday during Summer League play.

The 23-year-old was hurt during the Lakers’ 88-80 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers at Thomas & Mack Center.

He finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Per the OC Register:

Instead of feeling broke and hungover, the Lakers added their first loss and an unexpected injury to their Summer League experience Thursday night.

Nance took a nasty fall with 35 seconds left in the game after driving to the basket. Lakers trainer Marco Nunez then escorted Nance to the locker room, with X-rays and ice to follow.

“I’ve seen his condition,” Lakers rookie center Ivica Zubac said. “He says it’s broken.” […] The Lakers would not go that far. Nance will return to Los Angeles and see a hand specialist on Friday.
