According to Boston Celtics president of basketball ops Danny Ainge, forward Kelly Olynyk is out for a couple of weeks due to a bum right shoulder.
Olynyk, 24, was hurt in last week’s overtime win against the visiting LA Clippers.
The big guy will not require surgery.
#NEBHInjuryReport: Kelly Olynyk (shoulder) "definitely won't be playing for the next couple of weeks," says Ainge. No surgery is necessary.

Per the Boston Herald:
“He definitely won’t be playing for the next couple of weeks,” Ainge said. “But we’re not sure. Right now it’s still sore and still bothering him. He won’t need any surgery or any long-term cures for him, but right now it’s a short-term ailment that will keep him on the sidelines for I’m guessing – and this is just a guess – two weeks.”
Olynyk suffered the injury in the C’s final game before the All-Star break, a thrilling 139-134 overtime win over the Clippers.
He received treatment during his week off, and is currently in Los Angeles getting a second opinion on the injury.
