Holiday has yet to make his debut for the Pelicans this season, having spent the past several months caring for his wife, who underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor last month, and his newborn daughter.
Presumably now with his family in good health, the 26-year-old will be called upon to help right the sinking ship in New Orleans.
There's a chance that Holiday could play at Orlando on Wednesday, sources say, but an expectation that he'll be back by Friday vs. Portland.
