The Washington Wizards have reached a verbal agreement with free agent big man Jason Smith on a deal reportedly worth $16 million over three seasons.
Last season in Orlando, Smith averaged 7.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 15.5 minutes a game for the Magic.
Per Yahoo:
Smith, 30, will fortify the Wizards’ frontcourt along with center Ian Mahinmi, who reached agreement on a four-year, $64 million deal Saturday.
Smith has played nine NBA seasons with Philadelphia, New Orleans, New York and Orlando. He was the No. 20 overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft.
