The 1981 Indiana Hoosiers team that won the National Championship over Carolina was honored at last night’s IU-UNC game in Bloomington and Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas had some fun at the expense of Tar Heel Fans. Isiah and Michael Jordan have had a checkered history and their relationship is reportedly the reason why Zeke was left off of the original Dream Team. The two are the top players from their respective colleges and last night, the legendary point guard showed that the rivalry between the schools still runs deep.
During the Hoosiers victory, Isiah was spotted holding up a massive Jordan Crying Face sign:

Thomas told reporters that he was “just being a fan” and that his relationship with Jordan is “friendly.”
From ESPN:
“There were two girls sitting behind me, two IU students, and one of them handed it to me,” Thomas said. “I knew the crowd would go crazy — and they did when I held it up.”
Thomas and Jordan have had their friction over the course of their NBA careers, but Thomas described their relationship as “friendly.”
“I love just being a fan,” he added. “It was fun.”
Isiah’s sign wasn’t the only highlight of the night. Potential 2017 lottery pick OG Anunoby caught a monster alley-oop in the first half that got the crowd hype:
