Help Fund I Am Peace Basketball Tournament At Jackie Robinson Playground In Brooklyn
The Jackie Robinson Playground in downtown Brooklyn sits in the shadow of the Ebbets Field apartment buildings. The area around the park is far too frequently the site of crime and shootings. As a result, 26-year-old Chris Wise has put together a basketball tournament advocating against gun violence. The one-day event was first held on August 9, 2014 and was very successful:
I Am Peace 2 is scheduled for August 8, 2015 at the Jackie Robinson Playground. Chris is currently raising money for the following things:
– Event Staff
– Tournament Jerseys
– Trophies
– Referees
– Equipment
– DJ
– Snacks and Waters
– Championship Prizes
