Unable to resist poking fun at Blake Griffin and his recent troubles with throwing punches, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich joked Wednesday that San Antonio could shed its “boring” label by getting into some fights.

Speaking of boring: LaMarcus Aldridge had to explain why he deleted his social media accounts—the big fella swears it has nothing to do with struggling in a recent 30-point loss to the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
The Spurs got back to their winning ways in Houston with a 130-99 shellacking of the Rockets.
Per the Houston Chronicle and AP:
“I agree with them,” Popovich said of the “boring” label. “I’m a little tired of that. I’m looking for some people…We are going to start asking people to go to some bars and do some stuff, because I think a little street cred would help us. We are a little boring, so I agree with them all. A fight here and there, you know, what the hell. It’s good.”
LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and 10 rebounds, and the Spurs rebounded from their worst loss in three years to bash the Houston Rockets 130-99 on Wednesday night and remain undefeated at home. […] “We were very motivated,” San Antonio point guard Tony Parker said. “Still a little bit mad about what happened, but you have to forget it as fast as you can and learn from it. Tonight it was great reaction from everybody.”
Aldridge bounced back — as did the rest of the Spurs — after he was held to five points and three rebounds in a 30-point loss to Golden State on Monday. […] “I just wanted to lock in,” Aldridge said (when asked about deleting his Twitter and Instagram accounts.) “It’s not anything about the game. It’s a new adventure for me. I’ve never been in this system, with this team. I’ve never been a top-two team in the West, so I just want to lock in on my season. It had nothing to do with that game.”
