Technically speaking, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson hasn’t had a basketball career to speak of since the 2012-13 season, but the former NBAer says he’s giving up hoops to become a full-time rapper.
Gibson, 29, played seven seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He broke the news Friday morning on a radio show in NYC.

Per the NEOMG:
“I’m gonna give up my NBA career to start rapping,” Gibson said on air.
The response from “The Breakfast Club” host Charlamagne Tha God was somewhat comical: “Who you think a better rapper, you or Birdman?” Charlamagne asked Gibson.
Gibson then dropped some lyrics that were more of a spoken word: “My biggest competition is reflection.”
