Kevin Durant will soon be back on the court, and opponents will not only have to deal with the buckets he gives them, but also KD’s mouth.
According to noted trash-talker Draymond Green, Durant is slick with his on-the-court chatter.
Green admits that there’s not much to gain by talking back to Durant when he keeps raining in jumpers.
Per The Oklahoman (via ESPN Radio):
“You know who I always thought (was a great trash-talker), but has been under the radar, I think Kevin Durant,” Green said. “Lotta people don’t know that. But if you play against him you know.”
What does Durant say? […] “KD makes you feel bad about yourself, that you ever talked junk,” Green said. “It’s the funniest thing in the world.”
Durant’s material, of course, is strengthened by his talent. In Durant’s 10 games against the Warriors since Green was drafted, KD is averaging 28.5 points, including a career-high 54 point outburst during his MVP season. […] “Me and KD have had our battles over the course of my three years in the league,” Green said. “But when he end up with 53 (points), it ain’t much you could say back at that point.”
