With Rajon Rondo lost for the rest of the season, the Boston Celtics are desperate for any sort of help at the guard spots. Even if that help comes in the form of a guy who’s currently retired. Head coach Doc Rivers said the C’s will consider signing Keyon Dooling if he makes a comeback to the NBA. Per the Boston Globe: “Doc Rivers said before Tuesday’s practice that he has spoken with Keyon Dooling and informed him to starting getting in shape for a possible return. […] ‘He would be the closest for me if we had to go in another direction (at point guard),’ Rivers said. ‘We’d have to find out if he could still do it. He knows our stuff. He’s the easiest by far. He’s going to (get in shape) anyway.’ Rivers said the club has no immediate plans to make a roster move while Dooling is being considered.”
