Little-used L.A. Lakers rookie Devin Ebanks suffered a stress fracture late last week. The L.A. Times reports: “Lakers rookie Devin Ebanks will miss at least three weeks with what the team called a stress fracture in his left tibia. It was the chair that ate Devin Ebanks. The Lakers rookie was in a three-on-three scrimmage in Memphis four weeks ago when he careened into a courtside seat after landing off balance. He felt pain in his lower left leg but pushed through it, continuing to play in games and take part in practices. But his leg took a turn for the worse Thursday, and he was limping badly at practice. He will now miss at least three weeks with what the team called a stress fracture in his left tibia. ‘The chair got me,’ Ebanks said. ‘It wasn’t enough for me to sit out but [Thursday] in practice I couldn’t run or jump like I usually do. That was a problem for me.'”
